Interview B.B.C.Radio Solent..Mike Powell Show

I was invited to the Mike Powell's show on BBC Radio Solent Southampton 23.8.2008 I am in his group and he is on air from 2pm-5pm every Sunday. I so enjoyed the interview, Mike is such a lovely man and gave wide coverage of my book 'So Now You Know'. In the pictures I am proudly standing outside the BBC studio Southampton, ready for the big moment (do you see the crowds?) Mike gave me a big hug and in one picture is he about to kiss me? your guess girls.

Book Signing Borders Newbury

A lot of work had to be done before I got to the stage of entering the Book Store for signing It was a new road to go along and this was with great help from a dear facebook friend Annie Walters. Lots of telephoning and delving had to be done, and finally Annie went to her home town at Newbury, and chatted to the Manager of Borders, her winning ways won over.

He eventually contacted me, and it went from there. On the day of the signing, he greeted me and put me at ease. Notices were around the store about the event and it also came over on the tannoy about me and the event through-out the day.

Book Signing Borders Southampton

8th November 08

As I had a successful day at Borders Newbury I went to the Southampton shop with confidence. I approached the manager, explained about my success at Newbury and all about my book, and the history it contained about Southampton, my home town. He became very interested and agreed to a book signing, we agreed a date before Christmas would be appropriate. It was a very good day, sold lots of books family and friends came to give me support, and as it was quoted by Adam (my editor) it was like a’ Party in a Book Store’.

Book Signing Writers Circle

I was invited to a Writers circle to speak on ‘How I Got Started’ with Self Publishing on the Internet this was to be my first time, as a Speaker, I was a little apprehensive, but was soon put at ease, and once started, all that I needed to say just flowed.

It was a very successful evening with an added bonus of selling my books
